Built for the Italian Line for Genoa-New York service., 1960-1976
Sailed for Italian line International, 1977-1978
Laid up in late 1978
Burned and then capsized at the port of La Spezia in Italy, 1980
Raised and refloated and then sent to the scrappers in late 1981

This was a tragic end to the life of one of the most celebrated Italian Line Passenger Ships.  Those who had the opportunity to sail on her were indeed lucky !!
